IDIOMS : 称兄道弟 chēng xiōng dào dì
Meaning: To be like brothers
It can be understood with an example. I have a best friend. I consider him not only as my friend but also as my brother. I love him like my own brother although we are not related by blood. I can say that he is my brother from another mother or brother by heart. He is not related to me by blood. That's why I am using this phrase to show our brotherhood and our mutual love. The phrase simply shows the brotherhood and mutual love between two people even though they are not related by blood a friend who you know very well and have a very good relationship with: We stick up for each other like we're brothers from another mother.
